Tank, Electronics Cases, Covers

These components go with the Tank Track 2in, Tank Track Idler Arms, Tank Track double rollers in my collection. These are all of the electronic cases and covers for the tank's backside. Use them with 1/8 inch x 1 1/2 inch frame rails. The Sabertooth and receiver case connect together through the receiver case screws. There is space underneath the Receiver case for motor wires and a switch. Case covers, lids, and louvered motor covers complete the tank's backside. The lid fits both the Sabertooth case and the receiver case. Drill guides fit for motor rail and frame rails with the updated gear cases and these components. 12-15-2014 I recently added a perch and holder for a radio Shack 276-150 circuit board. I chose an Arduino Micro Board on a 40 pin zip socket, soldered to the board with power running through from a 7.2V battery via a 7805 regulator to power accessories. The Arduino Micro gets full 7.2V. A 555 timer manages flashing Led's on the tank and switch control for headlights, connected with plugins on the board. All of the pins connect directly to the Micro with Futaba Jr plugins on .100 strips. This makes it very easy to add new stuff to the Micro ports - power and ground are easily accessible. Two tactile switches under the front bumper control shuttle bay doors through Micro and door servo controls, which opens the bay. If you need it, I can send schematics of the board. Instructions: The louvered motor covers are very thin, built with full support is a must, as it's tough to clean out the louvers without breaking them. Some alternative covers are on my mind. Some components are hard to print, all cases require raft and full support. The switch case may need some extra support - I picked up a three terminal two position sliding switch at radio shack. Lids and Sabertooth mounting blocks have no need for raft or support. Every part requires #4 x 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch sheet metal screws to connect it all together properly. Where necessary, drill out holes to .120 inch for where the screw passes through - where they thread, drill holes to a maximum of .089 inch in diameter.
