Tank Cradle/Holder

Cradle to Securely Hold CO2 Tank in Place During Transport When driving to the fill/exchange shop with a CO2 tank in tow, safety becomes a top priority. A cradle can effectively prevent the tank from rolling around in the back of the car, ensuring a secure and worry-free ride. The STL files for 5 lb. and 10 lb. tanks are available for download. I have personally used the cradle designed for my 5 lb. tank with great success. However, I do not own a 10 lb. tank, so I would appreciate any feedback from users who have printed one and can confirm its effectiveness. Interestingly, it is reported that a 15 lb. tank has the same diameter as a 10 lb. tank, making it theoretically possible to use this cradle design for larger tanks as well. Nevertheless, using two cradles may be necessary to provide adequate support. When storing or transporting the cradle, keep in mind that hot car interiors can cause PLA materials to soften. To avoid any potential issues, it is recommended to stick with ABS or PET plastics instead. Furthermore, never leave a pressurized tank inside a hot car, as this poses significant safety risks.
