The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station first swung open its doors to the public on May 2nd, 1932. This station was a primary stop for tourists landing in Singapore and those heading out to Malaysia by train.\nCountless Singaporeans and Malaysians fondly remember taking train rides and also spending time at this bustling station located right smack in the middle of Singapore's Central Business District.\nThe railway station ceased operations and its land was subsequently transferred over to the Singaporean government on July 1st, 2011. This miniature model is a collaboration between BuiltinSG and the celebration commemorating SG50, marking 50 incredible years since independence day for Singapore.\nIf you ever create one of these models at home, be sure to tag #builtinsg on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter so we can share your creative genius!
