In a hexagon, seven sections are extracted to create a rectangle, right triangle, and parallelogram. The model was created using Solidworks 2016, followed by rendering with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. Video frames were edited in Virtualdub before being saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format, while PhotoScape generated GIFs from the renders. IrfanView allowed for editing of renders, and the 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files were made animated. The model is available in multiple formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX.
