This is an earbud holder designed to conceal the cord while it's being carried in a pocket or bag for protection. To utilize this, insert the earbuds into the holes with the cable exiting through the hole in the outer ring, then rotate the inner piece to wind the cord inside the body of the holder. This design is very effective and has several improvements that I would like to make. However, it works well enough that I haven't felt the need to complete it yet. I thought it was worth sharing anyway. This model required a significant amount of time and numerous test prints to perfect. I have added another STL with a larger gap between the inner and outer pieces. If you've experienced issues with the pieces sticking together, this may help. I haven't tested it myself, so if you print it please let me know how it works. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm works well Notes: This is a precise print with a gap of approximately 0.4mm between the inner and outer parts. If your printer has trouble with circles, blobbing, or strings you may find it challenging to achieve a working print. Any warping of the base will also prevent the inner part from rotating freely. Post-Printing After removing the raft, you might need to twist the model to dislodge the inner piece. Depending on the quality of the print, you may even require prying them apart with a craft knife. The motion may not be smooth initially but with use they will wear away any roughness between the pieces and the motion will become smoother.
