I snapped the knob on my Tandy 1000 TL while prying off the cover plate. So I headed straight for the printer and produced a brand-new one. Press it firmly into the metal case hole, then snugly into the 10K potentiometer. Secure it in place with a cotter pin. And you're good to go! It works like a charm.
