Tamron Adaptall lens rear cap with minimal support
thingiverse
Most people with Tamron Adaptall lenses are missing the originally supplied transparent rear lens cap that is used if an camera mount adapter isnt fitted, and replacements seem very hard to find. So I designed one thats been tested on a wide range or Adaptall & Adaptall-2 lenses, including all the common ones. I designed my version to have a base as wide as the lens to minimise the risk of the lens being knocked over when standing upright, and to have a knurled ring to homage the mount adapters (this is especially effect if you print in black and then change silver/copper/white/colour filiament at the right layer, see photos. I suggest you slice it with top and sides at least thick enough to make the three bayonet teeth print solid, for strength. *Support should be turned on* because it is needed for the three small bayonet teeth but this is easy to flick out using scissors or a screwdriver blade *that is 2mm or less* wide, but the internal shape is designed to print *without* generating any support if your slicer is configured to be able to avoid support with overhands on less than 45 degrees, which shouldnt be a problem, which saves lots of plastic, gives a faster print etc
