A replacement part for Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD (non VC) lenses covers a distance between the front lens and hood/filter mount. The original part can be easily damaged or lost, exposing internal components like screws to dust accumulation inside the lens housing. Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer Model: R1 PLA Notes: Supports for "lockers" were turned off since they proved difficult to remove afterwards. Without supports, results still turned out well but required minor cutting and fine-tuning adjustments. Post-Printing The 3d printed ring performs its intended function satisfactorily. The inner diameter should be about 1mm smaller and the outer diameter 0.5mm larger for an ideal fit. Measurements had to rely on lost original part specifications. Design Improvements Three "lockers" were added outside the ring to secure it in place, along with three mounting pins mimicking the original design. However, these proved unreliable both in the original part and this design iteration. They were eventually removed after printing.
