Interesting fact: Tampons are almost the same size as an AA battery. Not being a user of them myself, I was tasked with designing a case to hold two of these tiny items. The goal was to create something compact and portable that could fit into a purse or bag where a larger box wouldn't easily fit, and individually the tampons would be prone to damage. A repurposed AA battery holder turns out to be the perfect size for a slim-line, easy-to-carry tampon case.
