Alice is sending a package to Bob, requiring a tamper-proof seal so he can verify that his stalker, Eve, hasn't meddled with it. To achieve this, Alice creates an accessory using a zip tie, which prevents Eve from resealing it if she opens it. Even if Eve cuts the zip tie, she cannot remove it due to the tamper-proof hood. The only option left for Eve is replacing the seal with her own forgery; however, Alice prints them on a 3D printer and adds unique custom marks, making duplication difficult. Additionally, Alice etches a pattern into the zip tie itself, further complicating any attempt at replication.
