Tamp Hammer
thingiverse
This two-part blank doubles as a mold blank for crafting an aluminum tamping hammer/rammer. Print each piece twice and prepare the surface with high-build primer. Then, glue one of each piece together. Begin by molding half of the hammer in one half of a green sand mold. Secure the other piece inside and mold the other cask. Cast the assembly in aluminum or brass. Better weather is needed to complete my own project, so this remains a work-in-progress. A valuable casting video can be found on YouTube, showcasing a similar process.
