Tamiya TT-02 Rear Suspension Arms (Various Toe)
thingiverse
Human: Hi guys, The TT-02 may be my new top pick due to its super affordable entry point. I managed to get the Kyosho Fazer working great as a basher and was curious if the TT-02 would match its performance. So far, it's been performing quite well. I picked up an inexpensive body that I can widen the wheel openings on for bigger tires and a cheap brushless setup really gets it moving. Note: These are long wheel base only. The zeros can be flipped but the others are specifically designed for LWB builds. These are TT-02 rear suspension arms with toe-in from 0 to 2 degrees in 0.5 degree increments (1_5 is 1.5 and 5 is 0.5). They're a bit different than stock because I had Rally type use in mind, so I wanted travel and ground clearance along with toe adjustment. I've run the 2 degree version and it works great. The hinge fit is very snug and there's minimal play anywhere. I left the hinge pins a little tight instead of sanding them endlessly, figuring that they would work quickly and it worked perfectly, so I wouldn't recommend massaging the pins too much trying to get perfect articulation right on install, just sand them so they are not way too tight. The car accelerates straight and pulls nicely out of corners. Handling is very predictable. The shim is a spacer to reduce in and out play in the outer drive shaft. 0.5mm worked perfectly on mine. Strength of parts varies greatly based on print settings and plastic. I print hotter than normal (right at the point stringing starts) with thick walls (min 2mm) and heavy infill (min 50% for this type of stuff 80%+). Solutech Filament is the best I've come across for strength of parts but it's really only the odd bad roll that causes problems if you can get the heat right. Too hot will result in brittle parts (breaks across layers) but too cold will make weak layer adhesion (breaks along layers). Front suspension coming soon. As always, use at your own risk. Wrench to drive or drive to wrench?
