Tamiya Trailer transport restraint

UPDATE:When I was creating something similar for my 770S cab I realised I should keep it simple and universal. I created a restraint for a single wheel so that these could be used for any 1:14 trailer or cab. My original two wheel version only works if the axles are the the same width as my flatbed. For the new version I also provided space under the restraint to fit velcro or a rubber band to further restrain the wheel during transport - Use supports when printing ORIGIINAL TEXTI wanted to transport a 1:14 scaleTamiya 770S cab and a flatbed trailer in my car. I wanted to restrict movement to avoid any damage. So far I have made the restraints for the trailer. see photos for details. This consists of two prints of the Wheel Restraint file and one print of the Leg Restraint file. They weighed 2X138g and 1X35g of PLA. These three pieces have holed and are countersunk for 4X25mm screws.I checked the fit of the wheels (see photo) which was good for me.I then screwed the three pieces to some 7" timber I had in my shed. I stapled some Velcro 'hook' strips on the underside of the timber so that the wood would :) be secure to the floor of the boot of my car.I used it today without any problems. Next I will make a version for the 770S cabLet me know if it is of use to you. When I loaded the wheel restraint file into CURA I had to rotate it so that it was the right way up - see photo on the printer bed
