Tamiya TL-01 steering knuckle

thingiverse

This object is a replacement steering knuckle designed specifically for the Tamiya TL-01 chassis, and possibly other chassis models. The M4/5mm step screw has been upgraded to an M3x10mm screw, which provides additional structural support around the steering hinge by adding more material to the knuckle. To facilitate the installation of the 3mm screw into the 5mm hole of the C-bracket, a bushing is included that effectively converts the M3 screw into a stepping screw. It's essential to take note of your printer's tolerances, as they play a crucial role in achieving dimensional accuracy with this knuckle. The design aims to provide a snug fit, minimizing the usual Tamiya play. When installing the bearings, you may need to apply some force, and possibly use filing or sanding techniques to ensure smooth movement, but the end result will be significantly reduced play throughout the suspension compared to the original parts.
