This is my childhood dream! I've always wanted to work on this project, and I'm finally making it happen. It's not going to be easy, but with some experience in modeling, I know I can bring it to life. The Super II chassis is the foundation of this build. It's a sturdy base that will support all the components. The front shaft is the most challenging part - I've had to get creative and use my soldering iron to attach two pieces of stock shaft together. To keep everything in place, I'm using spacers that prevent the bushings from getting stuck to the frame. It's a delicate balance, but it's essential for a smooth ride. I'm using M2 screws to hold everything together - some of them will need to be cut down so they don't interfere with other parts. The bearing I've chosen is 15x10x4, and I think it's the perfect size for this build. Here's what you'll need: * One mini4wd Super II Chassis * A kit of M2 screws (short type) * A set of aluminum spacers * Two 15x10x4 bearings * A Turnigy T531-BBD nano servo with a +/- 25x20x8mm size range (or a generic micro servo plate for a 9g class micro servo) * A 2/3 channel receiver (the smaller, the better) I've also created a custom controller by connecting the PCB of the receiver and ESC using a soldering cable. It's a simple solution that gets the job done.
