Tamiya Jr R/C upgrade
thingiverse
Update Oct 24, 2018: v1.1 addressed feedback from users, fixing some stuff around the gear and changing the front steering arms so they don't need support. This is version 1.0 of a printable chassis to upgrade your Tamiya 1/32 Wild Mini kit to RC. It uses kit parts and standard RC upgrades (ESC, receiver, servo). I'd like to get some feedback and make improvements to the design, so please leave your comments. I'm also working on a version that adds an extra gear to slow it down. This is very fast for its size, so I think an extra gear reduction will help. You can even make your own from two 1S lipos if you have extras laying around. Front Wheel Axles: M3x30 bolts and lock nuts (or two regular nuts) or 4-40 x 1" machine screws with nuts Two sets, one for each side Capacitor for Motor: You can probably find something off a previous project to reduce motor noise. Screws to hold steering bracket: A couple of small wood screws. I'd like to design something that doesn't need screws, but that'll have to wait. Steering rods: Standard paperclip or stiff wire
