Tamiya Bullhead Magnetic Body Mounts
thingiverse
This thing replaces the stock body posts and cross members on the Tamiya Bullhead with parts to mount the body with magnets. You're going to need a 2.5mm and 3mm drill bit as the front body parts need 2 additional holes each. Also there's 2 types of front body parts, the normal ones for a standard Bullhead body, and the NoLights variant if you're not using the stock chrome light buckets. Make sure you're using the correct part before you start drilling holes! To glue the magnets in I'd recommend a couple of drops of a thin CA on each one. Front: 8x 10x5mm round magnets 10x M3x12 4x M3x8 Rear: 4x 10x5mm round magnets 8x M3x6 2x M3x10 The plastic that covers the magnet holes end up being very thin so take extra care when removing the parts from the print bed, once the magnets are glued in it ends up being a strong structure, but it's a little delicate until the glue has hardened up. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KLL77eICvIM" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> https://youtu.be/KLL77eICvIM
