Tamiya 12mm Hex Converter

This will work on vintage Tamiya buggies like Grasshopper, Hornet, Grasshopper II, Wild One and many others. A small remix of the 12mm Hex converter by Engineer6 is presented. It was found to bind around the axle when tightening up the rear wheel, so a small lip (same design as the original adaptor) was added, which gets pushed against the bearing rather than the axle casing and leaves some tolerance. An additional version is offered, which is 1mm longer, as it was discovered that when this was fitted to my Wild One, it was too narrow and caused the wheel to bind on the rear shock. The original works well on the Hornet, while the +1mm version performs well on the Wild One. Not having tried it on other Tamiyas, its suitability is unknown. It now functions perfectly and the wheels spin completely free even when tightened up quite a bit.
