Talon Claw V3 to V4 Longer Stroke Conversion

Edit: 11/5/2019 added AR15 V4 front rail cover here. This conversion unlocks an additional 19mm / 3/4 inch of piston travel from your Talon Claw. It also extends the blaster by 19mm overall. A K25 with 1/2 inch pre-load on a monkey mods 12.5 inch barrel delivers consistent 230fps performance with workers. This conversion necessitates new prime rods and threaded rods, making it more complex than a simple swap-out. You'll need to replace the standard Caliburn prime rods with shorter versions to accommodate the upgraded setup. Two printed components are required: a new piston and front rail assembly. When compressing springs this much, available options may be limited. The 788 and K25 work well together, but the K25 is preferred for higher FPS performance. Testing the K25 with 0-1 inch of pre-load has been successful so far; further adjustments may be possible, though untested. Optional components include a Long shot piston remixed from slug and a rear cover, allowing you to utilize a long shot spring if desired. However, LS springs have proven inconsistent in size and length after multiple orders, making them challenging to work with. I emphasize that this conversion has not been safety-tested; it's your responsibility to verify the safety of any modifications you make before using the upgraded blaster. In terms of performance, this conversion delivers a perfect Talon Claw experience.
