Tall X belt tensioner for Cobblebot (remix of I3_2020 design by drewprice)
thingiverse
I needed a taller x-axis belt tensioner for my Cobblebot basic rescue project, which is a remix of drewprice's design using Tinkercad - my first remix ever! Huge thanks go out to drewprice!! I required the taller tensioner to pair with parts from the Cobblebot x-axis designs by CTHULHULABS and the remix by tomtom2770. I enhanced the base, enlarged the square hole to match the bigger arm, and made the mounting holes larger for M5 screws. The tensioner arm was also enlarged to accommodate the idler bearing assembly from openbuilds that uses an M5 screw for the axle. The first articles here were created with BAMTack! white PLA at 0.2mm / 210 deg C / no supports on my stock FW DaVinci 1.0a using Simplify3D slicer. The final ones will be printed in black PetG on my Monoprice mini. As always, you may need to slightly increase or decrease the build size depending upon the filament and printer that you are using. Print Settings: Printer: DaVinci 1.0a; Monoprice Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% or greater Notes: Pictured parts were run on my DaVinci 1.0a using BAMTack! white PLA at 210 deg C. Final parts will be printed in black PetG on my Monoprice mini. An adjustable height belt tensioner that sits on the 2020 extrusion and uses this idler pulley would be a game-changer. I may design one down the road (unless someone else beats me to it).
