Talking Bender
thingiverse
I upgraded the Bender Bust by incorporating some advanced electronics into its design. Now it stands at an impressive 350 mm tall, allowing me to print it in two separate pieces on my Makerfront 3D printer using the split method I employed earlier. To further optimize the printing process, I hollowed out the bust and installed a coin slot discreetly located at the back of the piece. When a coin is dropped into the slot, the integrated electronics spring to life, triggering an Adafruit Wave Shield that brings Bender's iconic character to voice. As he speaks, his mouth lights up with a mesmerizing display of LEDs, adding a dynamic touch to this already impressive build.
