Bring a bit of the outdoors and adventure with you wherever you go with this Take a Hike Keychain!

This can be printed in multi-colour even without any upgrades using a single nozzle (no multi-material or Palette Pro needed!).

I've uploaded the .GCODE files for PLA which can be used directly, or you can download all .STL files and slice them yourself.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

This design is meant to be printed using the First Layer Inlay method which can be done with any printer, no upgrades needed. The following youtube video and article show examples of this method:

Youtube video from Make Anything:

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV2AjyowXX4&t=1041s"></oembed>

Article:
https://www.alexwhittemore.com/first-layer-multi-material-on-an-unmodified-single-extruder-printer/

SLICING INSTRUCTIONS

Bring all .STL files into your preferred slicer, lay them down, and line up the thin pieces exactly with the main body pieces. Then, delete the main pieces and save only the thin pieces as one .GCODE file. Then save an additional .GCODE file with only the thick main body pieces.

Print the thin pieces first

When this print ends, do not remove them from the print bed.

Swap the filament to another colour, then select the thick pieces file to print over top of the thin pieces

If they are lined up properly the thin pieces will fit exactly into the small holes in the main thick pieces, creating a cool seamless colourful layer.

Print instructions

SLICING INSTRUCTIONS

Bring all .STL files into your preferred slicer, lay them down, and line up the thin pieces exactly with the main body pieces.
