Tak Game
thingiverse
I used inspiration from the game "Tak: A Beautiful Game" to create this custom board and stones set. The board can be played with 4x4, 5x5 or 6x6 configurations. I designed it using Photoshop and Tinkercad, incorporating a wood grain pattern from Thingiverse's 1640999 model. The capstones were chosen from three different Thingiverse items: 1079138, 935856, and 1254404. Each was resized to have a 20mm x 20mm base and a height of 32-35mm. Everything was printed with Hatchbox wood PLA and then stained to match the design. The red "rocks" were painted using three different paints for added detail. The board itself was printed in four parts, which makes it easier to store when not in use. However, if you have a large printer, I've also included files to print the entire board at once. If your pieces warp after printing, simply place them back on the hot bed and hold them down until they flatten out. The wood grain pattern provides capillary action for easy staining with two-toned colors. Just use a cheap paintbrush to achieve this effect. We prefer our 4-piece setup for storage purposes but recommend using painter's tape on the underside of the middle piece if you plan to play on a slick surface, as it tends to slide around.
With this file you will be able to print Tak Game with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Tak Game.
