Tak: a beautiful boardgame
thingiverse
This is Tak: a captivating board game. Those who have devoured the Kingkiller Chronicles series will instantly recognize this engaging pastime. Those who haven't are in for a real treat! The description of this game in the book piqued the interest of many board game aficionados, ultimately leading to its creation with the author's guidance. I've made minimal claims about the design process here. I successfully merged two different Tak games from other sources to craft a complete set of boards and pieces. I also simplified a two-piece board into a single piece for those with larger printers and borrowed an entirely different game's base to allow everything to be stored in a convenient, compact box. All I did was adjust the scaling and size on all the various components so they align perfectly to create a cohesive game that fits together seamlessly. You can find the game rules here: http://cheapass.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/TakWebRules.pdf I've also included a QR code that attaches to the bottom of each game I print, making it easy for friends to access the game rules by simply pointing their phone's camera towards it and clicking on the link.
