Create a scaled replica of Taipei 101 using 3D printing technology! This iconic building was once the world's tallest, and its design is simply stunning. The model has a volume of 384.87 cm³ and stands approximately 60.53 cm tall (a rough calculation states it requires about 230g of material). To reduce the plastic used, the item has been hollowed out, bringing the total weight down to around 2.5 kg. If you're interested in this project, Ryan would love to see your feedback and hear any suggestions for improvements. To assemble your model, Ryan recommends using the revised files he uploaded on April 29th. These files are error-free and scaled down to approximately 30 cm in height, making them easier to print. Please avoid printing the "Taipei Full.stl" file as it contains errors and is too large for successful printing. You'll need to print the following parts: 1x 1 (repaired).stl 6x 2 (repaired).stl 1x 3 (repaired).stl 1x 4 (repaired).stl 1x 5 (repaired).stl 1x 6 (repaired).stl 32x 7 (repaired).stl 4x 8 (repaired).stl 32x 9 (repaired).stl 1x base (repaired).stl Follow these instructions carefully after printing all required parts: 1. Place the base on a stable surface. 2. Apply glue to the slots on the base and attach part 1. 3. Attach six more parts 2 in the same manner. Your model should now have eight connected parts. 4. Apply glue to the bottom of part 3 and attach it, aligning the pin with a hole. 5. Attach part 4 to part 3 using glue and slotting it into place. 6. Attach part 5 in a similar manner. 7. Secure part 6 to part 5 with glue. 8. Insert all 32 of the part 7 into the slots on corners of parts 2 and 3, ensuring they fit tightly. If necessary, apply a small amount of glue to the pins. 9. Attach four part 8 to the slots on the base. 10. Finally, insert all 32 of the part 9 into the slots on the faces of the model, working your way up from the bottom (be cautious as holes are small). Congratulations! You've successfully built Ryan's Taipei 101 replica. Don't forget to share pictures of your creation with Ryan – he'd love to see it!
