This bracket was created to be securely attached to a tailgate, preventing a bike from sliding when transporting it with the tire hanging over the edge of the tailgate. It's more budget-friendly than a traditional tailgate pad, especially if you typically only carry one bike at a time. I deliberately angled the front of the bracket in this way so that I could still close my topper door without needing to remove the bracket first.
