Tail & tailblades for 450 class heli
thingiverse
This is a custom tail for 450 class helis that I use on my KDS450. Unlike the standard issue one, this version includes a horizontal fin that I've added myself - I removed the original fin to make room for it. Update: the tail450_2 design eliminates holes altogether, which helps keep things light depending on your print settings. For my part, I used 0.15mm layers, 0.6mm top/bottom, and 0.8mm walls with a 10% infill level. I've also included my own tail blades in this package, which work pretty well for me at moderate rpm levels (around 2200 on the main rotor). However, I want to emphasize that you should use them at your own risk - especially if you're flying at higher speeds. Update: I've upgraded the fin design to a sleeker, more angular look with a 45° angle. Printing it out at 0.1mm layers and 0.4mm top/bottom results in an incredibly light finish.
