Tail Ski 60E
thingiverse
Tail Ski created to slip onto a 60" plane from Skywing or ExtremeFlight. Subject was a 29-30mm OD tailwheel from a 60" Skywing Laser. Once printed you dip the front end of the ski in some sub boiling water for about 10-15sec, then bend/curve the tip up. It cures fast and creates a nice lip. Used carbon rod (0.060" or 1.5-2mm) for the rubber band holders. You can make little stops on the end of the rod if you like. What's nice about this design is there are no tools required to plop it on. Also, if something were to catch on it - the ski would pop off the wheel. Furthermore, the design has a little shelf incorporated to keep the ski from over rotating upwards, you can adjust this by removing material or adding some sort of shim to your liking.
