Components required to build your own street corner to extend the "tactile street crossings" set (thing:5177801) for a specific street crossing or differing built environments. The street corners are intended for use in teaching Orientation and Mobility (O&M) concepts for people who are blind or have low vision. These components include: square base plate, raised land, textured grass strip, fence line, road markings and pedestrian islands. Note that the ramps should be used as holes to cut away the raised land. Each square corner or section should be printed at 12.7cm width for 1:128 scale. Four pieces can be combined to create a particular intersection. We recommend creating a frame (using wood or cardboard) to snugly fit four pieces so that they will not move when being explored by touch.
