Tactile Communication Devices
pinshape
I designed a Tactile Communication Device, specifically tailored for the GoTalk 9+. Originally intended for Developmentally Disabled students, this device has been repurposed to address a critical issue at an elementary school near mine. Visually impaired kids attending that school struggle to communicate using the GoTalk 9+, as they cannot identify what buttons to press. To overcome this challenge, we created tactile objects that allow these students to feel and thereby know which buttons to press. The symbols on each TCD directly relate to the word it represents. This document outlines the color and symbol for each TCD, with STL files included that are not final designs and do not follow a chronological order.
With this file you will be able to print Tactile Communication Devices with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Tactile Communication Devices.
