Tactical Jenga gun

I wanted more hits on Thingiverse, so I created this project. Inspired by Matthias Wandel's pistol design, it had been too long since I'd seen his video that I forgot how it worked or looked when I sat down to sketch mine out. Similar function, way different form. My only real design requirement was a single action trigger with a slide that I could rack. And then I found a box of airsoft stuff and went off the reservation... My first toy gun design. I'll probably redesign the body to be more exciting and ergonomic, but... Designed to accept a Picatinny rail on top, and has a molded in 40mm rail on the bottom. To fire, you rack the slide back and let it go. It has a nice click as the sear snaps home against the trigger and a nice clack as the slide slams forward. A few rubber bands are used to push the piston forward. A longer rubber band is used to provide tension to the trigger against the sear as the slide is pulled back, also pulling the slide back to its starting position. My sear needs a little adjustment. It's almost there, but not quite. Due to space constraints it's quite small, and that's not so good I think. The trigger pull is incredibly light. A real hair trigger with very little travel. Hope to adjust that. Hope to fix the grip ergonomics. The grip is simply slapped onto the body. I'd like to mold the grip more into the body. I want to add a trigger guard, make the grip longer and taller... Two barrel STL files are provided. 1 has holes to accept a rail. 2 has no holes. Hardware: Grip to body fasteners: 30mm M3 x 2 Trigger mech: 20mm M3 x 2 Rubber band retainers: 16mm M3 x 2 In action: https://youtu.be/7KXmQmgP7Ec Assembling: https://youtu.be/w4BrpOKUyBY Parts exploded: https://youtu.be/VB3FdQOKX3g Update 9/19/2017: Woot! I'm in a featured collection! Linked out to woodgears.ca. Give the canuck some love, he's my kind of crazy.
