Tactical Clothespin
thingiverse
My residence hall is currently running a massive game of assassin. For those unfamiliar with the game, each player is assigned a target and tasked with eliminating that target from the competition, after which they inherit the target's own target. In this particular game, "assassinating" your target is done by discreetly placing a clothespin on them. As an engineer, I noticed that standard clothespins are not well designed for surreptitious attachment to someone's clothing. They are intended for easy removal, which is also undesirable. The jaws are shaped inefficiently, and the wood slides easily, making them unsuitable for covert operations. I set out to design a Tactical Clothespin. The final design is based on an existing clothespin by Thingiverse user PolygonPusher, with lengthened, pointed, serrated jaws that can easily grasp and hold onto clothing.
