Tacoma dash mini-iPad Slider
thingiverse
I redesigned this iPad mini slider to fit perfectly over the factory audio unit in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The .stl file is available as a single piece and also split into two halves for printing on smaller machines. This print isn't perfect, but I did the best I could in just one weekend to learn Tinkercad. If you're familiar with the software, you can download the file and refine the 3D model. Mounting this slider requires some creative problem-solving to attach it securely to the dashboard while also finding a place for the charger. To assemble it, I glued the two halves together, drilled a hole through the printed piece, and used epoxy to secure the charge cord. The cord is an adapter that provides both an aux headphone connection and charging capabilities.
