Tachometer Enclosure
thingiverse
(From: A 5-minute Tachometer enclosure project using Morphi on an iPad) A quickly designed and implememented angled enclosure for the generic Chinese 4-digit magnetic and IR-based tachometer modules. This was created to allow for the easy external mounting of an auxiliary tachometer as part of an 8x16 mini lathe upgrade project. It will also be useful for any project needing a 45 degree angled disaplay within a rectangular enclosure. To Print: As overall strength and heat resistance of the print is not a significant issue here, a 20% infill using standard or Carbon-fiber PLA will work well for this enclosure. Modify accordingly if using in a high-heat or potential shearing environment. No special post-processing is necessary, and it may be printed in its default position on most FDM printers.
