Tachikoma - Fully Articulated
thingiverse
Fully articulated version of Makerbog's "print by colour" Tachikoma model rebuilt in Fusion 360. Features: * Full ball joints on elbows, hips, knees, ankles, and gun * Movable, spherical eyes that can be easily rotated * Extendable arms that allow for maximum flexibility * Hinged ankle for wheel transformation with smooth movement * Interchangeable toe/wheel segments for customization * Optional gatling gun replacer with spinning barrels for added realism All parts are optimized for printing and separated by color, eliminating the need for painting. Eye holes fit a segment of 1.75 black filament perfectly. (Fairly advanced print with many small parts) The model pictured is about 10% larger than the files, approximately the size of a football. Note: Ball joints have 0.1mm clearance all around, making them slightly loose due to the model's weight. However, any smaller clearance makes assembly impossible. To solve this issue, paint the backs of the sockets with 1-2 coats of Plasti dip or similar liquid rubber for added resistance and stability. This solution is not required for the gun socket or eyes.
