This whistle features three finger holes and is designed for one-handed play, freeing the other hand to accompany with a "tabor" drum. It's perfect for recreating medieval and renaissance parties, just like Shakespeare's fool William Kemp who danced 100 miles playing pipe and tabor. The instrument offers various registers reached by different breath intensities, making it versatile and fun to play. Different sizes are available in keys of G, Bb, C, and D, with dimensions ranging from 285mm to 432mm respectively. To print your chosen size, ensure high wall thickness or fill percentage for better sound quality. After printing, flatten the top pieces and tidy up with a hobby knife. To assemble, dip the ends of joining pieces in acetone for ABS plastic, while PLA requires epoxy glue. Post-assembly, an optional acetone vapour chamber can be used to improve finish and loudness. Fingering details are available in "three-hole-whistle-fingering.pdf" and renaissance tunes in "music.pdf". The design tool is Demakein (Python knowledgeable users can customize their woodwind instruments).
