Tabletop Spool Holder
thingiverse
I had my printer's spool lying at the bottom, and the filament was consistently twisting and curling around it. So, I searched Thingiverse for a simple tabletop spool holder that would be useful to me. However, none of the models available suited my needs, so I decided to create one myself. I'm sharing this model with you in case you need something similar and have limited tools at your disposal. This model needs to be printed in two identical copies, which will then be joined together using a 25mm diameter PVC pipe. I used a 25.3mm hole designed specifically for the pipe, allowing it to fit snugly into place. The part was dimensioned to accommodate a 220mm diameter spool. To prevent the spool from toppling over during printing, I chose to close the support at the top. This may make it slightly more difficult to change the spool, but it effectively holds it in place as expected.
