I run Dungeons & Dragons games at conventions, meeting numerous new people, but struggle to keep track of which miniature belongs to each player when we're using a battlemat. To solve this problem, I created saucers that fit minis with 1" and 2" round bases, as well as holders for index cards used as table tents. Now, I can quickly identify the player controlling the character I'm about to attack by matching the color of the miniature's saucer to the color of the player's card holder. There are card holders available in various sizes, including full and half-size index cards (3"x5" and 3"x2.5", respectively), which can be oriented vertically or horizontally. Each holder can accommodate several index cards, allowing me to keep numerous notes handy and quickly retrieve what I need. The map in the photo is from Dyson's Dodecahedron, while the coat of arms was designed using an online heraldry tool.
