Tablet Picture Frame
thingiverse
I had an old Kindle HD Fire 8" tablet that was collecting dust, so I decided it was time to give it new life. The paper calendar on my wall was getting tattered, so I built a custom frame to mount my Kindle securely to the wall, making it easily accessible for daily use. To ensure comfortable viewing, I incorporated a tilt feature into the design. Next, I wired in power and now our entire household uses this tablet as a digital command center. We input grocery lists directly into a note-taking app that's conveniently located in the kitchen, while our wife and I keep track of our schedules on the calendar app. By the way, if you're planning to power up any battery-powered device like my Kindle, make sure to use a reliable timer - ideally one designed for Christmas lights - to switch it on and off every 4-5 hours or so; leaving it unattended could lead to overheating and damage to the battery.
