This side-holding tablet stand is specifically designed to hold my Surface RT on the desk's edge. Its dimensions are tailored so that the tablet rests comfortably between it and the desk's bottom, making it a perfect fit for this particular setup, though it may not be compatible with other tablets or desks. However, even then, it can still serve as an effective phone holder. Unfortunately, I didn't bring out my DSLR camera to take better pictures, which is why they appear a bit rough around the edges. This stand was modeled using Solidworks 2013.
