To use your tablet with an IBM ThinkPad keyboard and TrackPoint, open the holder and insert it. Ensure a connection is established between your device and these electronics via the provided ThinkPad X4x hinges. Unfortunately, as of March 2014, Bluetooth connectivity is not yet available. Sources for parts include: aluminum from 247 Tailorsteel, keyboards and hinges from ThinkPad X4x, screws from both ThinkPad models X4x and T4x, Weicon RK-1500 construction glue, neodymium magnets from eBay, Modulor self-adhesive spacers for feet, 3mm AlMgSi0.5 profile from alu-verkauf.de, 1mm AlMg3 plate also from alu-verkauf.de, a 10x10x2mm AlMgSi0.5 profile and a 3x250x500mm Forex Classic PVC foam board from Modulor. Assemble an L-shaped aluminum profile, wooden bezel (items #267321 and #267303), wood paint, light pipe, adhesive tape, sealing strip, micro USB receptacle, RGB LED, and a sliding potentiometer. Use tools like a grinder/file, saw, drills, a drill for M2 core holes in aluminum, a tap for M2 threads in aluminum, and a screwdriver for M2 Phillips screws during assembly. A model of the ThinkPad X4x keyboard & TrackPoint and a tablet model are available on GrabCAD for rendering purposes.
