Tablet holder for BMW vehicles
thingiverse
This is a custom 8" tablet holder specifically designed for BMW i3. The holder itself targets LG G pad F, but it's easy to modify for other tablets. The trickiest part is attaching the holder_attach_assembly to the car itself: 1) Locate the cigarette lighter plug underneath the dashboard. 2) Mount the holder_attach_assembly so that the circular opening is aligned with the plug. 3) While holding the assembly, mark positions for three holes using a sharp object (a Phillips screwdriver works well). 4) Drill three holes, but make sure to use a drill size smaller than the screw you're planning to use. Check the photos! 5) Attach with screws. 6) Place the USB charger in place of the cigarette plug, and attach the USB cable between the tablet and the USB charger. 7) Feel free to send questions, and I'll provide more detailed instructions. How I Designed This I used FreeCAD to create this custom design.
