Tablet Clamp Modular Mounting System
thingiverse
I wanted to mount a tablet instead of a phone to my Xbox One S controller, but the clamp wouldn't fit due to its limited extension capability which only supported devices up to 85mm wide. I took the STL and added an additional 90mm to it so that it can securely hold devices with widths ranging from 145mm to 175mm wide. This modification retains the original nut and bolt length as specified in the original design. I designed this for my new Galaxy Tab S6 which arrives on Friday, we'll see how well it performs! It should also work seamlessly with the modular mounting system since that's what the original was based off of. To make this work, you'll need to obtain the rest of the required parts from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2553522/files. Update 06/18/2020: Following inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/make:435559, I successfully got it working with an elaborate setup as shown in the new photos. To replicate this setup, follow all previous steps and also print up the 90mm female angle arm from the modular mounting system available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2194278. You'll need to acquire an additional M5 Nut, M5x25 bolt, and knob for attachment.
