I Cooked Up a Quick Open Source Tablet Design, and You Can Use It to Turn a Raspberry Pi 3 into a Tablet PC with WiFi and Bluetooth LE. Just Be Aware That You'll Need to Remove Some Components from the Board if You Want It to Be as Thin as Modern Tablets. This Design Has Some Unusual Features: No USB Ports - I've Gone Without Them, Assuming Everything Will Be Cloud-Based, So You Can Use Mice and Keyboards Over Bluetooth Instead. No Charging Port - Wireless Charging Is the Way to Go Here. I've Also Added Slots Around the Bezels in All Four Quadrants - These Serve as Acoustic Cavities for Better Sound Quality and System Notifications through Lights. There's No Front-Facing Camera, Which I Understand Might Raise Some Eyebrows. But Honestly, Scanning QR Codes or Taking Pictures Doesn't Require This Feature. Keep in Mind That You'll Need to Make Adjustments Depending on Your Touch Screen Panel - Mounting Holes May Need to Be Tweaked - and the Thickness of Your Tablet, Which Will Depend on the SBC You Choose. How I Designed This Tablet I Used Solidworks 2015 for the Design.
