Table Saw Large Kill Switch Button - Powermatic
thingiverse
My Powermatic Table Saw motor control had a STOP switch that was infuriatingly hard to locate and even harder to activate when I needed to shut off the saw instantly. Modern saws boast a spacious STOP switch that's readily accessible with either hand or leg. So, I decided to upgrade the tiny STOP button with a substantial 3-inch square button that's now ridiculously easy to find and hit. No special printing requirements are necessary; just print it out as is. Once printed, carefully enlarge the hole in the "rod" portion to a precise 7/64". To install, completely disconnect the saw from power, then meticulously open up the motor starter. Unscrew the prominent red piece located inside the lid. Next, replace the outdated button with this brand-new one, complete with the original spring, and finally screw it firmly back into place.
