Table Saw Large Kill Switch Button - Powermatic
pinshape
My Powermatic Table Saw motor control had a STOP switch that was frustratingly hard to locate and hit when I wanted to shut off the saw. Current models boast a large STOP switch that's easily accessible and can be triggered with a simple hand or leg movement. I resolved this issue by replacing the small STOP button with a 3" square button that's now remarkably easy to find. No additional printing instructions are necessary. Once printed, open up the hole in the "rod" portion to 7/64". To install, disconnect the saw, carefully remove the motor starter, unscrew the red piece from inside the lid. Replace the outdated button with this new one, including the old spring, and then screw it securely back into place.
