Table Saw and Miter Alignment Gauge
thingiverse
I designed this to allow alignment of a table saw blade, as well as, a miter gauge. I use #8 flat head screws to remove any play between the miter bar and the slot. I then use a 1/4" rectangular nut and screw to assemble the miter bar to the dial indicator holder, and a 1/4" nut and screw will hold the dial indicator tightly in the holder. I have a Mitutoyo 0-1" dial indicator (2416A-10) so fit may vary with another brand/model. To align the table saw blade to the miter slot, I choose to use the 15 degree holder so I can get the tip of the dial indicator lower on the saw blade. The measurements on the dial indicator won't be as accurate as being straight on, but will allow you to true up the blade just the same. This is because you will only be concerned with not seeing a delta from the leading edge to the trailing edge of the blade. I have an Incra 1000HD miter gauge. The 0 degree holder perfectly aligns the dial indicator tip in the center of the front facing t-slot. I simply rotate the miter gauge to 90 degrees and true it up like you would a table saw blade. It should be square when you rotate the miter gauge back to the standard 0 degree angle.
