Table Saw 45 Degree Miter Sled
thingiverse
Introducing a custom-designed 45-degree miter sled for my Rigid 4512 table saw, created using a 3D printer. This sled allows attachment of extruded aluminum to increase surface area and features hold-down fixtures or stop blocks. Watch this video (http://youtu.be/kJW6jf0wPiw) to see it in action. Next on the agenda: designing a similar sled for cross-cuts. The sled was printed at .28mm layer height with 100% infill. Hardware used includes 1/4"x1" zinc hex screws, 1/4" hex nuts, and washers, as well as 3 x M5x16 button head socket screws and 3 x M5 nuts. Any aluminum extrusion should work; I sourced mine from Rockler.
