Table

Table

thingiverse

This DIY Fabrication Laboratory project involves creating a high table with a single person in mind. The table is designed to have a height of 900mm and features a top surface measuring 700x700mm. Instead of using glue, the table is assembled via slot and finger joints. To create this table, you will need a 2440x1220 sheet of 18mm ply (or slightly more at 18.6mm birch ply), which can be routed out using a CNC router. Adjust the tolerances according to your plywood's thickness for accurate results. To assemble, secure the sheet onto the router bed, drill down 3mm with a drill, then screw the sheet in place before running the router path to cut out the table shape. Remove the tabs by chiseling and sand everything smooth. Finally, assemble the table and apply a clear coat for protection. Note that the .crv files are from Partworks, set up for shopbot use, but you must adjust them according to your plywood thickness before creating your own .crv file for accurate results.
