Table Leg Caster Adapter

Table Leg Caster Adapter

thingiverse

We work with a variety of folding tables at our workplace that feature cylindrical legs. Our team wanted them equipped with casters, so I designed an adapter allowing us to attach wheels to these tables. Each table comes with its own distinct leg dimensions, and we utilize casters which differ from the ones I selected for my setup. To cater to these potential variations, I crafted a parametric model in Onshape that allows users to modify it according to their specific needs. You can find a link to this editable version on the same platform. My intention is for this design to be of use to our team members. Below you'll find the print settings we employed for this project: * Rafts: We opted for an approach where it didn't matter in our printing process. * Supports: Our strategy was indifferent towards support structure as well, which ultimately contributed positively to our results. * Resolution: A 0.3mm layer resolution setting served us well. * Infill: Utilizing a 15% infill density allowed the model to maintain structural integrity without compromising on overall performance. We utilized Simplify3D software running on a Printrbot Simple Metal 3D printer, using PLA plastic with minimal brim settings but choosing to forgo rafts and supports.
